Overview

OLTA SF1 is a successor-led search fund sponsored by OLTA. It applies our infrastructure-adjacent thesis through a single strategic acquisition in Germany, led by searcher Maximilian Gorzelitz.

OLTA SF1 targets profitable, asset-light SMEs that enable and sustain Germany’s essential infrastructure through products and services — including maintenance, inspection, retrofit, and operational services.

Backed by a €1.9 trillion infrastructure renewal need and a widening SME succession gap, OLTA SF1 seeks to capitalize on two converging macro trends: the turnover of experienced founders and the sustained investment cycle in critical infrastructure.

Through OLTA SF1, investors gain access to a focused, institutionalized version of the search fund model. OLTA combines institutional investment discipline with the agility of entrepreneurship, providing structured sourcing, rigorous underwriting support, and active, board-level and project-based partnership with the searcher across every phase of the investment.

OLTA backs one searcher and one company at a time from search through exit. Leveraging deep sector experience and networks within infrastructure, OLTA and its advisors support Maximilian from sourcing and transaction execution through transformation and long-term value creation, ensuring that value creation is both disciplined and enduring.

About the Searcher

About the Searcher

Maximilian Gorzelitz

Max brings over seven years of operational experience across industrial and energy-related sectors, making him the ideal successor to lead OLTA SF1’s targeted acquisition. A graduate of RWTH Aachen University with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Business Administration and Engineering, Max has built his career at the intersection of technical excellence and entrepreneurial execution.

At the Würth Group, he led cross-border efficiency and automation initiatives across Germany, Italy, Sweden, and the U.S., directly reporting to the management board. Later, as Business Development Lead at the green energy financing startup hellgrün Energie, he joined as the second full-time employee, building its core operations, pipeline, and partnerships from scratch.

OLTA identified Max as an exceptional operator with the discipline, perseverance, and adaptability required for founder transitions. His track record demonstrates strong leadership under resource constraints, fluency across diverse operational contexts, and an instinct for structured execution. Having lived and worked across multiple countries, Max combines the mindset of a global professional with the grounded pragmatism of the German Mittelstand—qualities that align perfectly with OLTA’s long-term, hands-on approach to preserving and professionalizing an infrastructure-adjacent SME.
